Can we meet with the DJ prior to the function?
You will have an opportunity to meet with the DJ prior to the function where you will have a one-to-one consultation to go through all the details and your music choice to ensure the celebration is a success

How involved can we be in selecting the music we want?
You can be as involved as you want to be. You will meet with the DJ prior to the function to discuss your preferences, or if you want to hand over to the DJ you can select the era of music and let them do the rest.

Do you offer a written contract?
Yes, both you and the DJ will sign a formal contract confirming all the details of the booking. This will give you confidence that all arrangements have been discussed and agreed upon.

Are the DJ’s qualified?
All DJ’s are qualified and members of the National Association of Disc Jockeys (NADJ).

Will you take requests on the night?
Most certainly! It is your celebration and whilst you will have chosen the playlist prior to the date, you or your guests may think of something you want played on the night. The DJ will be pleased to take all reasonable requests. We try not to limit these but the number taken is dependent on the ‘must’ play music.

How much do you charge, and how do I pay?
We don’t have a fixed rate as charges will be dependent on date, time, duration, function type and venue. If you are looking for a cheap option DG Wedding Events is not for you. However, if you are looking for an ‘affordable’ DJ and disco that will be reliable and do an excellent job then look no further than us. Payment can be made by either BACS or cheque. Please note we do not accept post-dated cheques.

What kind of music do you play?
We have a huge library of music from all era’s – 50’s/60’s/70’s/80’s, in fact more than 75,000 tracks from timeless classics to the latest chart music. Whatever your preference, we will have music to suit the occasion.

What equipment does the DJ use?
Sound systems used are ‘state of the art and top of the range. There is a selection of coloured lighting effects to choose from to create a party atmosphere on the dancefloor. A haze machine can also be made available to enhance the disco but this is dependent on venue approval. Check out our ‘optional extras’ page.

What about Health & Safety?
All equipment is Portable Appliance (PAT) tested annually in compliance with the Electricity at Work Act 1989. PAT certification is available on request.

Have you got Public Liability Insurance?
We hold £10m Public Liability Insurance cover (PLI). A current certificate is available on request.

What will the DJ wear?
Dress code can either be smart casual, shirt and tie or black tie as requested depending on the occasion. This detail can be finalised when your booking is confirmed.

How long will you hold our date for us?
We will hold the date for 7 days. We will contact you after this to check whether you still wish to keep the booking otherwise the date will be released back into the ‘availability’ diary.

Can we submit a “Do Not Play” list?
If there is some music that you most definitely do not want played at the occasion please make this known to the DJ prior to the date. It is not a problem. We will respect your instructions.

What is your cancellation policy?
Cancellation within 7 days of the function = full amount payable; Cancellation more than 7 days but less than 1 month prior to the function – 30% of the balance payable; Cancellation 1 month or prior to this = loss of deposit only. Any refund due will be made by cheque immediately on receipt of your written cancellation instructions.

How can I be confident that DG Wedding Events is totally reliable?
DG Wedding Events is not a one-man band. Darren Ganderton who heads up the DJ entertainment company is a highly experienced and qualified DJ who has a team working closely with him to ensure complete reliability. Quality customer service is important to us.

What is the set up time needed prior to the start of the Disco and how much space?
Our DJ’s will need approximately 1 hour to set up and the space needed for the basic equipment is approximately 8 ft.
